Brandy Snaps

Ingredients
  Golden syrup 2 Tablespoon
  Butter 2 Ounce
  Dark brown sugar 2 Ounce
  Plain flour 2 Ounce
  Ginger 2 Teaspoon, ground
  Salt 1 Pinch
Directions

Place syrup, butter and brown sugar into saucepan, heat slowly until butter has melted, stirring occasionally.
Sift flour, ginger, and salt into a bowl, stir in syrup and butter mixture; mix well.
Drop dessertspoons of mixture on to greased trays, allowing room for spreading.
Bake in moderate oven, Mark 4, 350°F., 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven, cool 1 minute. With knife, lift brandy snap from tray.
Roll immediately around the handle of a wooden spoon.
Allow to firm and cool on spoon handle.
