|Dry white wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a heavy 1 1/2-quart saucepan combine the eggs, sugar, and nutmeg.
Gradually stir in the milk.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till the mixture coats a metal spoon.
Remove from heat; cool pan at once in cold water.
Stir a minute or two.
Slowly stir in wine.
