Apple Cider Raisin Pie

  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Seeded raisins 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Apple cider 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Chopped tart apples 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Lemon 1⁄2 (Use Grated Rind And Juice)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 3 Tablespoon
  Pastry 1 , unbaked (For 2 Crust 10 Inch Pie)

Mix 1 cup of the water with all ingredients except cornstarch and pastry.
Bring to boil.
Blend cornstarch with remaining 1/2 cup water.
Stir into first mixture and cook, stirring, until thick.
Pour into pastry-lined pan, adjust pricked top crust, and seal edges.
Bake in preheated very hot oven (450°F.) for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to moderate (350°F.) and bake for 35 minutes longer.
