Spicy Mulled Cider
|Apple cider||1 Quart|
|Ginger slice||6 , each about the size of a quarter|
|Orange zest strip||3 (Colored Part Of The Rind)|
|Cinnamon sticks||2 , cracked|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
1 ln a large saucepan over moderate heat, stir together the cider, ginger if desired, orange zest, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and honey.
Bring the mixture just to a simmer, reduce the heat to low, and cook, partially covered, for 25 minutes.
Stir in the lemon juice and strain through a sieve intoanother heatproof container or individual mugs.
