|Curry powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Lean ground beef||2 Pound|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Apricot jam/Sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sliced almond toasted||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a frying pan, saute the onion and apple in butter over medium heat until soft (about 10 minutes).
Stir in curry, cook about 1 minute, then turn into a bowl.
Add the ground beef, bread crumbs, 1 of the eggs, 1/2 cup of the milk, the vinegar, apricot jam, salt, pepper, and almonds.
Use your hands to mix the ingredients well, then pack into a shallow baking dish (about 8 by 12 inches or 9 by 13 inches).
Arrange bay leaves on top and bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for about 50 minutes.
Lightly beat together the remaining egg and 1 cup milk.
Remove dish from oven and skim off fat; slowly pour egg mixture over top.
Return to oven for 10 minutes.
