kadirecipes's picture
Roselle juice also called Bissap juice is a well known drink in Africa, especially in West Africa. From Senegal to Guinea Bissap is sold on every busy street. However, this drink is not only popular in Africa, because I’ve found out that many Asian countries too love this hibiscus flower drink.
Dry hibiscus flower 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Strawberry 1 Teaspoon
  Mint leaves 1 Teaspoon
  Water 1 1⁄2 Liter

1. Wash the flowers.
2. Put them in a casserole with the water and bring it to boil for 20 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and add the mint leaves.
4. Let it cool down.
5. Pour the juice through a strainer into another container.
6. Add some sugar, the vanilla and the strawberry flavor.

7. Put in the refrigerator. Serve very cold and enjoy!
